Flight

Inspired by several duck crossing signs alongside adjacent roads, ‘Flight’ was conceived to highlight the urbanization of Macquarie Park, and the diminishing extent of wildlife habitats and corridors – with these sculptures as a reminder to the community of the fragility of natural systems.  ‘Flight’ symbolizes departure and absence, as well as the weightlessness of feathers falling to the ground.
